Shakespeare in Salt Springs Park

Shakespeare in the Park Rescheduled to May 18th at 2:00pm

‘Shakespeare in the Park’ comes to Salt Springs

Endless Mountains Theatre Company will perform Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ Friday, May 16th at Salt Springs Park in the pavilion at 7 p.m.

Salt Springs Park is located on Silver Creek Road in Franklin Forks, PA. Bring along a chair or blankets, and pack a picnic. As a reminder, no alcoholic beverages are allowed at the park.

Admission to this production is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted.

Three separate plots intertwine in the woods near Athens leading up to the marriage of the Duke of Athens and Hippolyta.

The lives of four young lovers and a band of craftsmen and amateur actors are manipulated by a group of fairies who inhabit the forest.

The play is under the direction of Caleb Park. Sarita Farnelli appears as ‘Puck,’ the merry servant of the fairy king, Oberon (Bob DeLuca).

Center to the main plot is the young lovers Lysander (Daniel Powers), Hermia (Alex Creamer), Demetrius (Will Farnelli) and Helena (Skylar Secord).

David Schmidt appears as ‘Bottom,’ the weaver and actor placed under a spell by Puck who becomes the focus of the Queen of the Fairies, Titania (Bonnie Love-Colwell).

One of Shakespeare’s most popular works, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was written 1595-96.

EMTC is a non-profit theater company bringing the excitement of the live stage to Susquehanna County. In addition to this performance of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ EMTC has planned a full season of productions, including EdCamp showcase performance, 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 25 at Susquehanna Community High School; and the summer musical ‘Hello, Dolly,’ Aug. 1-2, in the auditorium of the Blue Ridge High School.
