EdCamp, EMTC’s Annual Theatre Camp for middle and high school students, is now open for registration!
EdCamp is a week-long camp full of workshops and clinics led by professional performers and teachers in the art of theatre and musical theatre. At the end of camp week, students present a final performance that is open to the public.
This year, EdCamp is being held at Mountain View High School from July 20th through July 24th. Registration for the entire week costs only $85!

Take Mom out for dinner and a show!
To celebrate Mothers’ Day, we have a special presentation… “Lavender Notes,” an original production and dinner will be performed at at the Moose Lodge in Susquehanna PA. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the show will follow.
There will be a cash bar available as well so you can toast your Mother on her day! 🙂

Picture it – Parlor City, late 1940’s- Nick Holliday (Mark Creamer) is a hard-boiled private investigator. He takes a case, a murder investigation which leaves a teenaged girl (Skylar Secord) wondering who is responsible for her sister’s murder. In the course of the investigation, Holliday (Creamer) has dealings with the law (Caleb Park), Parlor City’s underworld (Paul Thomson, David Schmidt), and some other interesting characters (Alex Creamer, Emma Studt). Though the investigation threatens the lives of many, Holliday and his office manager/sidekick Dora Chase (Heather Jurchak) are determined to get to the bottom of it. Written by EMTC’s own published playwright, David Schmidt, this play promises to provide its share of laughter as well as intrigue. Catch it this weekend at the Great Bend VFW Post #6223, Saturday at 7:00 pm, and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Cash bar opens one hour before each performance, with light fare. All for the low price of $12.00.

Auditions for “Hello Dolly” will take place in the auditorium at Blue Ridge High School, 5058 School Road, New Milford PA.
Tuesday May 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday May 31 at 10:00 a.m.
Those auditioning for singing roles should plan to read from the script and to sing a song from the show. There are some non-singing roles. All roles are available.
Also needed: pit musicians (please contact the director at emtc@nep.net).

Due to the inclement weather forecast for Friday evening, EMTC’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream scheduled to be performed at Salt Springs State Park has been postponed.
This performance has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 18th at 2:00pm at the pavilion at Salt Springs State Park outside Montrose.

EMTC will audition for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” to be performed on May 16 and 17 with rain dates of May 23 and 24. This will be an immersive picnic in the park show and will be performed in modern English. Auditions will take place on Monday March 24 and Tuesday March
25 at the Great Bend Alliance Church, 160 Randolph St in Great Bend PA at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Those who audition will be asked to read from several scenes. Questions? Contact the director at (570) 396-8919 or by email at emtc@nep.net
